A new era begins at Wem Mill as the first resident moves in

The launch of Wem Mill saw the start of a brand new chapter in the Mill’s life and it has just reached another milestone in its history, as the first resident has moved in.

Aimee Pritchard, 26, a pay-roll manager, has lived in and around the area all her life, so it was important for her to stay local to be close to her family, friends and work. Keen to invest her money, she decided home ownership was the best way.

With limited options of affordable starter properties in the town, when she discovered Wem Mill was being renovated into apartments, she thought it would be the ideal location. She comments: “When I visited the development, I knew it was the place for me. In terms of where it’s situated, it’s so convenient, as it’s only a short walk into town – perfect for a night out and parking isn’t a problem. Plus, the apartment I chose, a two bed property, looks out onto the river, so it’s an attractive setting and quiet too.”

Wem Mill offers a brand new collection of 36 one and two bedroom apartments, set in and around the historical building. As well as the stunning conversion, Guild Homes has also created two additional sets of new build apartment blocks providing a further 21 apartments to the MiIl’s 15.

Aimee continues: “As soon as I met with Lynne, the Guild Homes sales advisor, I felt I was being looked after. She helped me every step of the way and as this is my first experience of purchasing a home, I really valued her expert advice. Plus, Guild was able to offer me a great incentives package, which helped to cement my decision.

“I’m really enjoying life in my new apartment. It’s a great space and has been finished to a high standard, with quality specifications. I would definitely advise house hunters to pay the development a visit. I’m sure many first time buyers out there are unsure if they can afford to get on the property ladder, but I’m proof you can and Guild is doing all it can to help.”

As well as a contemporary new apartment, residents at Wem Mill will also benefit from car parking, various communal garden areas to while away the hours in, and a new secure gated entrance giving total peace of mind.

A big advantage of living in Wem is its close proximity to neighbouring towns, including Shrewsbury, Whitchurch and Telford. Commuting to and from the development is easy, as there are a number of ‘A’ roads connecting the town to the surrounding areas, plus Wem train station is only a short walk away from the development, making it ideal for work commitments; so you can be in Shrewsbury or Crewe in 12 and 23 minutes respectively*.

This quaint town is surrounded by miles of open countryside offering residents the perfect balance of bustle and also quiet, picturesque living. Prices at Wem Mill range from £99,950 to £139,995. However, if you are looking to rent a home rather than buy, then Guild can help you here too, as a proportion of the apartments have initially been set aside as rental properties.

To make sure you don’t miss out on your chance to live in this amazing piece of history, visit the sales office, open Fridays, 2pm to 7pm, Saturday, Sunday and Monday 11am to 5pm. Alternatively, call 0800 032 2823 or visit www.guildhomes.co.uk
